Neem Lagao, Dengue Bhagao Campaign
Blending environmental responsibility with public health awareness, RAWS launched the “Neem Lagao, Dengue Bhagao” campaign as a sustained community-driven effort. Through regular plantation drives, the initiative promotes greener surroundings and raises awareness about preventing vector-borne diseases like dengue.
Conducted on a weekly basis, these drives have led to the plantation of over 5,000 neem saplings while engaging 1,000+ community members in understanding the link between environment and health. What emerged is a powerful example of how small, consistent actions can create lasting impact while fostering cleaner spaces, healthier lives and stronger community participation.
Ek Ped Navjat Shishu Ke Naam
Celebrating the arrival of new life with a commitment to a greener future, RAWS introduced the “Ek Ped Navjat Shishu Ke Naam” initiative. By linking every newborn with the planting of a tree, the campaign beautifully connects growth, care and sustainability from the very beginning. Implemented across parts of Bihar and supported by government hospitals, the initiative has led to the plantation of over 3,000 trees, each symbolizing a child’s journey ahead. Beyond environmental impact, it promotes a sense of responsibility and awareness within families and communities in turning every birth into a step towards a healthier planet.
Rishikesh Ganga Cleaning Initiative
Blending spiritual reverence with environmental responsibility, RAWS undertook the Rishikesh Ganga Cleaning Initiative to help restore the purity and sanctity of the sacred river. While bringing together community members, volunteers and local leaders, the effort became a collective step towards preserving both heritage and ecology.
Carried out along the ghats of Rishikesh, the initiative has engaged over 800 volunteers and facilitated the removal of more than 10,000 kg of waste from the banks of the Ganga River. Beyond cleanliness, it has strengthened awareness around sustainable practices, inspiring communities to take ownership of protecting one of India’s most revered lifelines.
Global Environmental Observance Programs
Marking globally significant occasions with meaningful action, RAWS actively leads environmental observance programs to inspire awareness and responsibility. Through campaigns aligned with events like Earth Day and World Environment Day, the initiative transforms symbolic days into opportunities for real community engagement.
Through these programs, RAWS has reached over 5,000 individuals via awareness drives, workshops, and on-ground activities that promote sustainable living and environmental consciousness. These efforts celebrate the planet and encourage communities to adopt practices that contribute to a healthier and more sustainable future.
