It was understood that many capable students were falling behind not due to a lack of potential but because they did not have access to the necessary tools and academic support. As it progressed, the initiative has provided more than 800 laptops till date to students from economically weaker sections, making digital learning more accessible and inclusive. Also, free coaching and mentorship became a catalyst, helping students strengthen their academic foundation thus allowing them to adapt and thrive in an increasingly AI-driven world. This combination of technology and guidance ensured that students were not only connected but are also well versed.

Operational School in West Champaran, Bihar
What began as a modest initiative driven by a simple yet powerful vision to bring children back into the fold of education has evolved into a thriving, fully functional school that now transforms the lives of over 300 children every year. In its early days, the effort focused on reconnecting out-of-school children with learning, building trust within communities and addressing the barriers that kept young minds away from classrooms.
Over time, this small step grew into a sustained movement. Through consistent dedication, community engagement and a profound understanding of the challenges faced by underserved families, the initiative expanded its reach far beyond its original scope. Today, it has touched the lives of more than 5,000 children, providing not just access to education but also nurturing confidence, curiosity and a sense of possibility among first-generation learners. The school now stands as more than an institution. It is a symbol of hope and opportunity.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
RAWS recognized early on that for many families, the cost of education, fees, books and basic resources often becomes a major obstacle, forcing students to give up on their academic dreams. The initiative was therefore designed to step in at critical moments, helping students continue their education without compromise.
Over time, this effort has expanded to support more than 1,500 students through scholarships and financial aid. By easing the burden on families, the program allows students to stay focused on their studies, pursue higher education and explore opportunities that were once out of reach. Beyond monetary support, it also instills a sense of encouragement and belief, reassuring students that their aspirations are valid and worth investing in. Today, the initiative stands as a pillar of continuity and hope ensuring that financial hardship does not dictate a child’s future but instead, talent and determination take the lead.
Soft Skills & Career Counselling
With a focus on overall personal growth, the initiative evolved into a comprehensive program aimed at preparing young individuals for life beyond classrooms. In its early phase, the program introduced students to foundational personality development sessions, helping them build self-awareness, express themselves more confidently and overcome hesitation. These initial efforts laid the groundwork for nurturing essential life skills often overlooked in traditional education.
RAWS understood that education builds knowledge, it is confidence, communication and clarity of direction that truly shape a person’s future. As the program expanded it grew into a structured platform that has now counseled over 2,000 students through workshops, interactive sessions and one-on-one sessions. Training modules on communication skills, interview preparation, leadership and workplace readiness were introduced to bridge the gap between academic learning and real world expectations. Additionally, career guidance sessions helped more than 1,500 students explore suitable pathways, make informed decisions, and align their aspirations with practical opportunities. Today, the program serves as a strong foundation for young individuals, equipping them with the confidence, clarity, and capabilities needed to navigate their future successfully.
AEPC Skill Development Programme
In collaboration with the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC), RAWS extended its commitment to education by integrating skill-based learning with real-world industry exposure. This initiative focused on equipping youth with practical, employable skills in the apparel sector, enabling them to transition from learning environments to sustainable livelihoods. By combining technical training with professional guidance, the program not only enhanced their vocational capabilities but also instilled confidence and financial independence.
As an extension of its educational efforts, RAWS provided a creative platform for students to showcase their learning and talent through a fashion show hosted at the Indian Institute of Apparel Management. This event went beyond celebration, as it served as a powerful demonstration of applied education, where students presented their skills, creativity and craftsmanship. It reinforced the importance of experiential learning, giving participants exposure, recognition and the confidence to pursue opportunities in the fashion and apparel industry.
